The department was created to increase the availability of high-tech medical care.

The department provides consulting and specialized diagnostic care to patients with cardiovascular diseases, forms treatment plans and selects patients for high-tech medical care.

The main task of the department is the admission and management of patients waiting for high-tech medical care. The department provides pre-admission medical assessment in order to assess the patient`s condition, evaluate data from laboratory and instrumental studies, and determine the optimal treatment strategy, either a surgical treatment and/or a non-surgical conservative treatment.

The consultative and diagnostic department cooperates with the clinical departments and scientific units of the Research Institute for Complex Issues of Cardiovascular Diseases, as well as with the departments of Kemerovo State Medical University. The consultative and diagnostic department serves as the link between the Research Institute for Complex Issues of Cardiovascular Diseases, ambulatory care services of the Kemerovo region and health organizations in other regions in the process of management of patients.

Currently, the department employs 6 physicians, 3 specialists with Ph.D in Cardiology, and 1 cardiologist with the honorary title “Honored Doctor of the Russian Federation”.
