Research fields of the Department:

to study the clinical features and the contribution of various factors to the mechanism of formation of multifocal lesions in atherosclerosis;

to develop the effective program of secondary prevention of atherosclerosis.

Scientific missions of the Department:

to study the pathogenetic features of the development and prognosis of acute and chronic forms of ischemia of different vascular beds in multivessel coronary artery disease and polyvascular disease;
to improve the diagnostic algorithm and to estimate the efficacy and safety of different approaches to treatment of patients with multivessel coronary artery disease and polyvascular disease;
to generate and to estimate the efficacy and the algorithms of surgical approach in patients with multivessel coronary artery disease and polyvascular disease;
to generate and to improve the endovascular approaches to revascularization of different vascular beds in patients with acute and chronic manifestations of atherosclerosis in multifocal lesion.
to optimize the approaches to inpatient and post-hospital rehabilitation of patients with multivessel coronary artery disease and polyvascular disease after acute ischemic events and reconstructive interventions on different vascular beds;
to develop the strategy and approach to anesthetic management and intensive care in patients with multivessel coronary artery disease and polyvascular disease.
